Family business

Edward and his mother open Maretazo en Surco, with a marine menu based on traditional recipes. Over the years the other members of the family joined.

A new adventure

After many years of experience Edward and his wife Poppy, a native of Minnesota, decide to venture with their own restaurant with a different concept called “Barra Maretazo”.

An Award

Barra Maretazo won a certificate of excellence on Tripadvisor being recognized for its good service and seasoning.

We continue rowing

For the second consecutive year, the certificate of excellence was obtained on Tripadvisor, recognizing the quality and passion in food.

We continue sailing

We took care of the health of our employees and had all of the safety protocols for our clients implemented throughout the pandemic. We won the award, again, for the top 10 restaurants in Lima, Peru.
